Success Stories

In 2001 stopthejunkmail.com founders moved to Boulder Colorado and their junk mail slowly followed them from Newtown, Pennsylvania. In their frustration they joined stopthejunkmail.com’s service to opt-out of all US postal junk mail.

From April 2001 to December 2002 they religiously opted out of over 200 catalogs and direct mail publications. Currently they only receive the catalogs they buy from and over a period of 3 month receive approximately 15 publications such as Lands End Kids, LL Bean Kids, Lego, REI, Restoration Hardware, business Week and Patagonia. They prefer to shop online when at all possible because of their schedules with kids and work. Getting to the Mall is almost impossible. They stress that each time you order online to make sure you select the little tiny button that says “I do not wish to receive updates and catalogs”.

As the years have gone on they moved to a new address and processed an additional 16 stop orders. Their trash recycling pile has reduced, their USPS mail has reduced dramatically and junk mail has not followed them to the new address. All that has followed them are bills!
