I would like to share with you a small story about www.stopthejunkmail.com and Daniel Katz of The Overbrook Foundation and the idea man behind the now very popular catalogchoice.org. You might remember the interview Bill Moyers did with Daniel Katz back in November about how to stop catalogs and help fight global warming.

When Daniel Katz was getting started with stopping his own unwanted catalogs he joined www.stopthejunkmail.com. He joined our service in July of 2006 and processed stops for over 200 unsolicited catalogs for his own household during his annual subscription. We would consider Danial Katz to be in our top 5% of members! He also personally congratulated me on the success of his membership.

I would like to return the favor by personally congratulating Daniel Katz on the success of catalogchoice.org especially the piece that Ann Curry did on the NBC Today show. I understand they signed up over 50,000 consumers that day, Wow!
